Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara Deal.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

This story is an interesting one and still blows my mind. I’ve always been a creative at heart, this led me to a career as a graphic designer, working with design and publishing houses, in which I gained years of experience in all aspects of design, advertising, and marketing.

The next step for me was to dabble in another venture that peaked my interest, the fascinating world of e-commerce, and this was where my first online store ‘The Glimmering’ was created. Ring lighting was becoming very popular at the time, since everyone wanted to be an instagram star, so, seeing that the potential was there, my partner and I jumped right on in selling ring lights to all the future influencers.

What took me by surprise was having New York talent agent, Carissa Rossi of CRossi Entertainment reach out to me about gifting some of her celebrity clients in exchange for brand recognition. So, here I was sending products to and getting tagged by celebrities, like Hazel-E, Angel Brinks, Neyo, etc. and even designing for celebrities like Mama Breezy and Farrah Abraham. I never imagined that my passion would lead me down this path. It didn’t stop there, during the covid lockdowns, That Libra Chic was born. I was now expressing myself by creating memes to entertain and attract thousands of other Libras that needed some laughs and distraction as well. Now it’s become a brand & I’m an author with an ebook about love and relationships for Libras.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Oh man, the learning process–putting entertainment aside to focus on the goals, the monetary losses, the sleepless nights, the people who didn’t believe in me, the days I didn’t believe in myself, the haters that tried to stop me, and the freelance jobs that didn’t truly value me. It’s been a long, arduous journey, but you know what I wouldn’t change a thing because I love the person I’ve become today. A Strong, focused, determined and visionary woman.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

Even though I’m still and always will be a designer, I’m also a brand and digital marketing specialist. I know what works, I connect the dots, I know what makes your target customer want to be a part of, and purchase from your business. Creating something out of nothing is like my “je ne sais quoi”, just look at the examples given, starting my own e-comm business, growing to thousands of followers on social media, which is no easy feat, and now writing and selling ebooks on astrology. I am (not to brag), a little bit of magic, work with me and you will see a flourish with your brand and business as you’ve never experienced before.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Follow your passion. Believe in yourself. Take a step back and find out what sets you on fire, what grinds your gears and makes you want to get up in the morning. That’s what you should go after, your heart’s desire. Why? Because you will put the time and energy into your vision and goals and it won’t feel like work, the drive that you will find to make it happen will astonish and amaze you.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success is something that you have to define for yourself, and no one can do it for you, but in my personal opinion, being successful means achieving your desired visions and goals, also sharing your gift to the world, knowing your purpose and making a difference in the lives of others, it’s not necessarily monetary, even though that would be an added bonus.

I have some big plans in the works for That Libra Chic, and some upcoming projects and international investments that I shall remain silent about for right now.
