Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Eliyahu Shmuel Ben Yah.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

My birth name is Agustin Perez, I changed it legally to Eliyahu Shmuel Ben Yah ( converted to Judaism)in the courts of Delaware. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y where it was gang-infested. I was born in a poor neighborhood. My mother died of cancer when I was 2 and I was raised by grandmother in Puerto Rico. My Father taught me hard work and was a constant motivator in my life. I’ve seen my Father struggle but yet he was a hard-worker and had two jobs. I desired to succeed and I didn’t know how. I went regularly to Church and I obtained my two Doctorates of Divinity. I took many online courses at Harvard, Columbia University’s just to name of few. I became a Chaplain in New York. Faced many challenges including all sorts of abuse and racism while growing up but I was determined to be successful. I’m currently studying towards my Associates degrees in Psychology.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

I faced Intimate, Physical, Emotional and Religious abuse. I grew with fears, low self- esteem, Anger issues. I had severe chronic Asthma, constant bleeding through the nose. Plenty of sleep paralysis and tormented with thoughts of suicide and even attempted once but wasn’t successful. It was my grandmother’s prayers that pulled me through. My Faith and Prayers contributed by catapulting me to having burning desire towards success. I made many mistakes in my past, in which I struggled with alcohol, gangs and drugs for years but God helped me. Along the way I had plenty of Angels ( people who took a genuine interest in me and counseled me).

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I’m an Author, Rabbi, Singer & Songwriter, Life and Health Coach, Exorcist, Mentor, Spiritual Guide, Speaker and I own my company called ESBYAH brand: Coffee, Wine, Vitamins. I’m compassionate, goal oriented and I believe in accommodating my customers, having fair competitive prices. I offer good quality and I’m firm believer in clear respectful personal communication.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

1)Surround yourself with individuals that are not only going somewhere but that have a proven record of success.

2) Get with individuals who celebrate your destiny, purpose, mission, assignment and that celebrate you! Remember healthy relationships ( wether it be friends, family, etc) is when someone invests in you as much as you invests in them.

3) Become and avid reader of self help books but also of history, life, business, family.

4) Marry a person that is with and for you! Remember love is law but relationships is business.

5) Forgive yourself from past mistakes and learn from them.

6) Pray, meditate and read Spiritual books. Believe in THE MOST HIGH HaShem.

7) Always be a Student. A day that goes by without you learning something new, it’s a day you lost. Be quick to learn and listen but yet slow to speak.

8) Learn humility, be kind, courteous and be respectful. Give back to your community and volunteer. I always volunteer for a disaster relief organization in which by the way I’m one of the Directors at: nacchelp.org

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success to me is to act or be intelligent ( constantly learning by possessing a teachable spirit)but specifically to teach others. Nobody can claim success if there is NO successors. Teach others what you know by becoming an encourager. Love people where they at and without judgement. Success is the ability to manage time, energy, family, health, business and life without sacrificing the essentials and what really is important. Learn from your mistakes. Forgive quickly, love and be at peace with thyself. Success is putting effort and believing in yourself!

What’s next for you?

To continue to travel the world and be a positive impact in peoples lives! I will continue with my education towards Psychology.
