Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Ede.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Being a customer-centric multi-skilled managerial consultant, I have anchored and driven lots of digital transformation, organisational change across multi-nationals and delivered end-to-end business transformation projects in diverse organisations. I am a senior Project Manager with over 16 years of experience in management of various projects across the globe. I have worked for some of the world’s biggest financial institutions, consulting firms and biopharma giants. As an experienced entrepreneur with a Bachelor of Science honours and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). I run couple of businesses- Maigmike Consulting, Uplift11 and I am the Director of Training & Development for Brighter Connect- where I facilitated and coordinated all the end-to-end training programme across over 1000 learners on our learning management system (LMS), drove key initiatives around design, build and implemented processes with diverse clients. I have held various positions and gained quality experience in management, supporting, and delivering multi-million pounds projects and programmes across diverse industries. I drove change, empowered diverse teams that are co-located and distributed with multi-skilled, multi-cultural and also driving budgets of over £10M with up to 60+ team members.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

I have come across various challenges during my career, but I always take every new responsibility of my work as a new challenge and then try to give my best to come up with the best possible solutions. To be concise, I had to overcome challenges from people management, organisation management and change management across various aspects. In fact, my people-centric strategy prevailed with my dynamic ability to read situations, empower people and drive change has helped me overtime.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

As the Director of Training and Development, I facilitate and coordinate all the end-to-end training programme across the over 1000 learners on the LMS, drove key initiatives around design, build and implement processes with diverse clients. As the Managing Director of Maigmike Consulting, am responsible for all the strategic initiatives across diverse projects defining the best approach for business owners, top executives, leaders and providing the best advice for them. Being a customer-centric multi-skilled managerial consultant, I have anchored and driven lots of digital transformation, organisational change across multi-nationals and delivered end-to-end business transformation projects in diverse organisations. As a one-stop shop for all IT and soft skills courses, Brighter Connect creates opportunities through learning and many that have embarked on our online learning either through self-paced, virtual or corporate training have changed their career and transformed their lives; this is the testimony of why people work with us and rather than the competition out there. In addition, over the past 16 years, I have led, managed, coached, mentored and delivered PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe, Workday, and SAP projects with wealth of experience in AI, Big Data, BI, Blockchain, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Data Science, DevOps, RPAs, Project Management and many more.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

My advice is very simply, stop looking for the silver bullet, start creating better goals, stop looking for validations, start living your dreams, stop looking for a mentor, start building your expertise and finally, stop blocking yourself as life is too short, START doing!

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success for me is all about creating a sustainable change in people’s lives. At Brighter Connect, we create opportunities through learning and having to empower just an individual can have a ripple effect on the whole society. Considering the current situation across the globe, the world needs people who can cause change in other people’s lives and to me this is where the success lies.

What’s next for you?

I am currently a licensed players (football) intermediary (agent) who has gained theoretical and practical skills in providing all strategic directions, managing and inspiring sporting talents, driving deals/negotiations across the best sporting platforms. I mentor and empower sporting talents to maximise their potentials, guiding each individual through a sustainable and long-lasting career.
