Today we’d like to introduce you to Salvatore Spampinato.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Hi there. It is an honour to me as well, being with you today. I am an Italian artist, also known in US because of my songs with Bizarre, Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne. I have decided to be a rapper since I saw Eminem on MTV first time, in ’99. I just talked to myself, like: “Hey! Rap is the right genre for you because you can feel the real freedom, using words to express yourself”.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

Hating! Hating because in Italy, rap was not so cool in the past. Hating from people that didn’t know anything about hip hop culture and for them, I was so weird with baggy jeans and also hating inside the italian rap scene because of my dream to work with rap music and some underground rappers thought that rap music was not a business. So, to be real you had to avoid medias, tvs, radios, etc. and respect culture only making old school and underground rap music.
Fortunately now, Rap music is the first genre in italian charts.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I was an independent artist until I signed a contract with my managers Paolo Agosta & Mitch Dj. Mitch Dj is also a famous speaker and a reporter for ‘Le Iene’, a famous italian tv show. I like to try different kinds of rap music: Trap, Old School, Drill, etc. and people appreciate that. If an artist want to work with me, key word that well describes me is: VERSATILE. I have the right numbers, knowledges and skills to make a great song.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Just follow your dream and keep away negative vibes. Work hard and do not hate others for your failures. Use your failures to succeed and grow. When I was a youngster, I used to listen bad advices and my success proceeded too slow for other’s faults. Not all people love you, they are fake and obviously are not your real friends if you try to come out on top.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success is when you love what you do. If you are happy everyday, that is the key of success.

What’s next for you?

I am working on my Summer Hit. A song about a summer love where a woman is a bit jealous about her man’s success because she thinks that he is cheating on her because he is famous.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more.
