Today we’d like to introduce you to Faranak Shahroozi.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Thanks for having me here. My name is Faranak Shahroozi. I’m a pianist, composer with a roster of highly melodic and emotion invoking music. My music streams worldwide crossing the boundaries of Classical, New age and Pop.
I got to where I am today by connecting with a legendary producer and Soul music Hall of Fame Inductee, Preston Glass. When Preston heard my music for the first time, he told me that my compositional style reminds him of Nino Rota, composer of God Father and Francis Lai, composer of Love Story, which makes me extremely proud and honored !

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

From losing my family home at the age of 14, in war torn Iran, to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the one thing that keeps me going is the world of music I have created for myself. It has helped me cope with the toughest times and complimented the happiest ones. I aspire to share my music hoping that it helps people the same way it helped me.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

‍ In 1984, I moved to the United States, where I pursued my passion for music and received her B.A. in Classical Music from San Jose State University. The dramatic changes in my life had a direct effect on my musical abilities and emotional connections, which led to a series of musical compositions and ultimately captured the attention of famed producer Preston Glass. By the late ‘90s, I became the face of music in Napa Valley, where I lived and performed for many years. With Glass’s help, vision and collaboration with stars such as Lenny Williams from the soul/funk group Tower of Power, Syreeta Wright (Stevie Wonder’s wife) and the endorsement of the legendary winemaker Robert Mondavi, My first album, titled “La Musica De La Vigna,” was produced. My song “Helplessly Falling” was featured in the “Down ‘n Dirty” film starring Gary Busey. ‍ By the mid-2000s, I began working with San Francisco R&B radio station KBLX. My second album, entitled “Eternal Love,” emerged as the result of a passionate romance when I met my partner Steve Lohr of J.Lohr Vineyards & Wines. “Eternal Love” was produced by Adam Ivy and released in 2012. I have also performed for business and musical professionals like Jeff Shell/Stephen B. Burke, the [former] CEO of NBC; Johnson & Johnson; PETA; winemaker Robert Mondavi; saxophonist Boney James; and Tony! Toni! Toné!

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

To go after your passion and never give up. Believe in yourself. Knock on every possible door and eventually one opens. Lastly, never ever feel relaxed. In the music industry, you have to be fierce.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

I want Faranak Shahroozi to become a household name. I want to create the best piano music possible for the listener. Finally, I would love to see the day that my music gets millions of streams worldwide.

What’s next for you?
