Today we’d like to introduce you to Hip-Hop Artist PBE PLUTO.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Well, I have been grinding and networking as an independent artist for years. Throughout the years I have transitioned within a few groups but in the beginning of 2020 I began my journey as a solo artist. “SOAK UP THE DRIP” is my first solo single off my EP “Past 2 Da Future”. It began to gain momentum right in the heart of the pandemic when dance groups from Venezuela, Nigeria also Colombia took a liking of the record and started posting video clips of them dancing to the record on instagram. I started reposting them on my social platforms and eventually others started joining in and making videos that began to gain the attention of djs and tastemakers in different areas. Sirius Xm Radio dj Superstar Jay picked up on the record and began giving it exposure on Shade 45 also posting videos of him and his dj crew the Union Djs playing the record in various areas. From there the record started picking up more momentum now its a priority record with the Coalition djs ATL, rapper TI dj MLK has been posting it on his mixtapes and posting videos of him playing the record, multi platinum producer ZAYTOVEN has post the video and also performances of the song on his Instagram story, also multi articles have been posted about the record via Source mag, AllHipHop, respect mag, elevator mag and more plus several radio stations across the country have picked up on the record.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

The pandemic created a challenge because it made it harder to do physical shows to promote my music and challenged me to find more innovative ways to promote my music. Also the pandemic was a blessing in disguise because it slowed the world down to where people were forced to get their content and entertainment from social media and opened the doors for more people to tap into my brand. Also a big challenge was getting my hometown fully on board because it seems pretty hard for them to believe in you when they see you often and you don’t have a major deal or mainstream situation. I just continued to consistently work and grind and the more bigger platforms stated picking up on my records the more my hometown started embracing my grind.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

I’m a business man first before I am anything. I own my own label ParkerBoy Entertainment LLC, where I oversee my projects and products assist with the marketing and development of my company. I also own a clothing brand “Xrossed-Kultured”, where I personally design every piece myself also oversee the ship, marketing and promotion of this company also. I assist other labels and brand with development of their entertainers and or products. I am a team player I like to see everyone win. Lastly I don’t consider myself as a competition because I’m in my own lane and paving a way for the people that are inspired by my grind.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Stay humble and continue to build your ark like Noah even when no one else but you believe the rain is coming. stick to your dreams and continue to grind no matter what it look like right now. keep your focus on yourself so you won’t see it as a race when you see people make it to places before you. all you gotta do is keep going eventually you will be there.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

To me your success is only valued at how many people you bless. If you can inspire people or motivate people to elevate their life then you are successful. If doing what you love can stop the next person from giving up on whatever is challenging them in their life then you are successful. Reaching a goal you have set for yourself and not worrying about the expectation of everyone else then you are successful.

What’s next for you?

I’m currently working on the release of a mixtape through the Coalition of Alabama Djs called “LLRS” which stands for long live rockstar. In which i am dedicating this mixtape in loving memory of a lost friend who was an up and coming rapper that was killed in his own hometown only two weeks after his team booked me in their city for a show and a feature on a record we have called “BACKEND” that will be the lead track on this mixtape. im also gearing up to release another single called “Steppin” off my latest EP Past 2 Da Future plus a new EP and more video content.
