Today we’d like to introduce you to Ar-Rasheed S. Brisco Jr.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Thank you! Through many life experiences based on both great and not so great choices, I found my way to entrepreneurship. This company is not my first attempt at “controlling my own destiny” either. This would be my 3rd one I’ve started, and it has by far been my most successful to date. This one specifically started in college when I was younger and getting caught up into credit card debt that was totally unnecessary. After making MANY of my own credit mistakes, I had to learn to get my situation straight. Personally, I did not think that I’d be able to come from under the debt I had come up with through frivolous immature spending. It was a tough way to learn a lesson; but I can’t be happier that I experienced this. Soon I realized after sharing what I was able to accomplish with friends and family, I began to have people coming to me for the same help. Before I knew it, there was a long list of people who need the same help and the time I was giving these people and their situations was beginning to add up. BOOM!! New Life Credit Consultants was born! Fast forward to 2021 where we now have clients all throughout the country and have helped many people change their lives in ways that they never knew were possible.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

I wish this journey was smooth! There were a wide variety of challenges, some mental, some physically in the way, of course some were financial. One of the biggest challenges was blazing a trail down a road untraveled. You see, when you don’t know anyone personally that has done what you’re trying to do, that road can get dark. You’re literally learning as you go. Some of those growing pains can really hurt, and sadly, some of them are wounds that may not ever heal. Little things that people don’t tell you about such as branding or how to make sure your process is smooth for customers can really show their importance as time goes on. Financial challenges are also huge too. It takes money to make money, there’s no getting around that fact. Anyone looking to pursue this dream of entrepreneurship should definitely be prepared to put their money where their dreams are. I also would say another challenge has been coming to grips with the reality that the people you love and care for may not share your passions, so naturally their support might not be at the level you subconsciously desire. It isn’t a shot at them or anything; but be clear, metaphorically the cheers are the loudest when you win the championship versus just being in the playoffs. Continuing to focus on my path has always been tough, of course though nothing could stop me.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

My company helps clients clean up their credit report of negative history by leveraging the consumer laws and compliance rules. We have had people with thousands of dollars of debt get items removed that were holding that back from obtaining cars, credit cards, homes and personal loans to help them with their lives. We use a wide variety of resources and even help to teach clients about the process so that once we’re done with them, they’re also very knowledgeable on the subject of credit! We’ve had people get their student loans corrected, some have had bankruptcy issues and even people with repossessions or collections. We’ve seen it all folks! I’ve also written a full-length book on the topic of credit that’s available on Amazon Kindle called “Mastering Credit” that was published last year. Our experience, our results, our attention to detail and ultimately our approach to treat our clients as if they’re family is what has and will continue to separate us from other consulting companies.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

Something that has always helped me is definitely my pursuit of good energy and positivity, whether that comes from people, environments or activities. Ever since my grade school days back in Rahway, NJ, I have always been someone who thrives to be around positivity and great energy. If there’s none around me, I bring the positivity and infects those around me almost instantly. You see, our mind is very powerful tool if used the right way. I can’t even begin to tell you how many different experiences I’ve had that my radiant energy and positivity have helped me stand out and excel in! From situations that have been in business such as networking events, all the way to social situations like going to a charity event where I’m lighting up the room. I connect MOST of my success with my positive nature and great energy, no matter what situation I’m placed in.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

When I hear success, I think of resilience. I 1000% immediately think of success meaning that someone has overcome MANY failures. It’s like an iceberg really. You see the top part out of the water as the ice floats freely; but there’s also a massive portion of the rock that you don’t see which is in the water. Success to most folks is seeing the portion out of the water and marveling at the accomplishments. Not me though, I look and appreciate that rock for reasons other than what we see. I appreciate success for the simple fact that most people don’t understand just how much goes into making a company successful or how much struggle, pain and frustration you must endure to make your vision turn into a reality. There were days that I thought to quit and move on to something else and even days when the overwhelming task of customer service were draining. There’s beauty in this struggle though, so I keep pushing. You honestly cannot have success without these struggles.

What’s next for you?

Next up, the company is continuing to grow and partner with other companies to expand our reach. Our home office is in southern New Jersey, we have been preparing to create a second location in the state in the northern part! We also are in the finishing stages of our company’s next credit publication which will also be published soon! Lastly, we’re looking to reach clients from all the states, we’re in over twenty states currently; but the whole country is one of our big goals! – Personally, I’ve begun working in the E-commerce space thanks to the teachings of EcomPame and her team. They’ve helped me understand much about what being in the e-commerce space actually entails, as well as how to be efficient with my time and resources to really be successful. Using my business experience in combination with learning more about monetizing the internet to me is going to be something long term that will create a life for my future family that I just never would’ve imagined.
