Today we’d like to introduce you to Brennan Strader.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Growing up I never really saw much value in mainstream education. I had a creative mind with big dreams and never really fit the conventional mold like other kids my age. I started making videos with friends at a young age and got better and better as I got older. When I was 16 years old I ended up booking a large video production project with the Shell Corporation. They had no idea I was in high school until halfway through the 8 month long project. At that point they were so impressed with my work they didn’t care. After I made Shell the infomercial I was able to purchase more professional equipment and work with more brands. I ditched college and starting building companies and producing commercials. I now have a full media production company called Capture Films. I have worked with companies around the world like Visa, All Detergent, Bakugan and BIC. Along the way, I have the opportunity to work with non-profit organizations like The Child Liberation Foundation to use my skill sets for good. I find a lot of meaning in charity video work. My biggest passion is bringing ideas, vision and imagination to life through cinematic storytelling.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

The hardest part about building your own career is the family and social pressure that comes when you wade off the path of mainstream success. I’ve failed a lot of times, but embrace failure as best as I can because I know it’s through failure that we learn the most important lessons. I eventually learned to focus on my goals and not share them with small minded people. I cut negative influences out of my life and focus on my vision.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?

To put it simple, I’m a cinematic storyteller. That could be anything from commercials and advertisements to music videos and short films. As the founder of an award winning production company I’ve learned a thing or two about content creation. I’ve learned that the best ads are not ads at all. They’re stories that make people feel something. That is what converts, and I’m not just talking about the sale, but the hearts of customers. A powerful creative developed from a data-driven marketing campaign can bring more lifetime value to a brand than anything else.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?

My number one advice is to use exercise faith. When I say that I’m not just talking about the biblical definition. I’m talking about literally speaking your goals into existence. You pick a goal or dream and write it down as your vision. And then you do everything in your power to accomplish that goal. And you act and feel as if it has already happened. Once you accomplish your goal in your mind, it’s just a matter of time till it happens physically.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?

Success is freedom of time and money.

What’s next for you?

My next steps are to keep building my video production company, travel the world and build other companies along the way.

Finally, how can people connect with you if they want to learn more.

Anyone who wants to connect with me can email me at brennan@capture-films.com of message me on LinkedIn.
