Today we’d like to introduce you to Waliyulah Olayiwola.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
Thank you, the honor is all mine. I am Waliyulah Olayiwola, a writer, website designer, digital marketer, coach and philanthropist. My story began in 2011 as an undergraduate of Engineering at the University of Ilorin when I decided writing would be my calling instead of my course of study. This zeal got reinforced in 2014/2015 when I lost my mother and my civil servant father was being owed several months’ salary. That year, no monthly allowance was forthcoming and the need to survive forced me to take charge of my finances. I took digital courses on how to earn with my writing skill. I learned how freelance writing can be a Goldmine of opportunities for a writer like me. I created a website to portray my services. I got featured on a couple of other high ranking websites. Then, after setting my foundation online as a freelance writer, I began pitching businesses in need of my service using my features as my credibility. Before long, clients began finding me as a result of my solid online presence. Soon, I was able to start charging a high rate until I became a seven figure digital marketer. An abundance of clients led me to start a digital agency(ref: www.afbdigitalagency.com), building responsive websites, and so on. Moving on, I am known to many as a philanthropist. My well known and biggest philanthropical work is the charity organization, Care and Compassion Network (CCNetwork) that I founded in 2018 where we have helped thousands in Nigeria.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
It’s good that you asked that question. My success has not come on a platter of gold, I’m afraid. I have faced numerous challenges along the way. The first challenge I ever faced was when I started out. I needed some basic tools, like a Personal Computer, Internet connection, having a website and lastly, especially, I needed to know how to monetize my writing skill. The only way for me was to purchase a Laptop and a digital course on monetization strategy. I had no money. After a lot of effort and with the support of my poor but supportive parents, I got a Laptop. Interestingly, without letting them know about it, I used my school fees to purchase a digital course and web hosting for my first website. It was a risk I was willing to take. The choice was, either I became successful at digital marketing or I dropped out of school. Soon, another challenge came. Some unknown thief visited the hostel that I lived and stole my only Laptop. I thought the world was ending. I had to stand up again, dust my clothes and forge ahead. But the theft made my life harder as I no longer had the tool to work. I paused my digital entrepreneurship pursuits and compiled a list of well to do people around me as a student. Then one after the other, I went to them, pitching, and telling them what I could help them do in exchange for money. I
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
I help businesses get visible online.
My specialty is in building web presence for individuals, startups and businesses. I specialize in building websites, developing a content strategy for that niche, creating compelling contents, building sales funnels, driving traffic (paid and organic) to build email lists, doing email follow ups with Autoresponders and getting the sales. Many clients prefer to work with me because they know I carry them along the journey until the very end. In addition, a client doesn’t have to lift a finger from the beginning to the end of a sales funnel for any offer we built the sales funnel for. We can do it all on a complete done-for-you system and guide the customer until the sales start rolling in..
Many of our known competitors do not care if clients get results, we do. I always work with clients until they get results.
Lastly, I know the best traffic source to use for each kind of unique offer. Facebook ads, Solo ads, Google ads, Microsoft ads and so on. All traffic sources delivers different results. It is my responsibility to guide my clients to the best they need depending on their needs which can range from sales, leads generation, social media likes and shared, subscribers, followers and so on. And they always get what they need worth us.
This is what differentiates my agency from that of competition.
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
My best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life is to first and foremost believe in their ability to be successful. Second, they must change their limiting self-beliefs about money. Money isn’t the root of all evils as many of us believe. And you must keep in mind that you cannot help the poor by becoming one of them. Third, they must find a mentor, someone who is already getting the result they want and learn from such a person. This will save them a lot of frustration and unnecessary headaches on how to be successful. They’ll simply follow the system of that mentor. My favorite quote is by Jim Rohn who says, “there’s no secret to success, there’s only a system to success.” This means if you follow what successful people are doing, you’ll get their results.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
The word success to me means three things.
First, when I have attained a stage when I no longer need to work to live comfortably, this is success to me.
Zhang Yiming has exemplified this. As the CEO of TikTok, he resigned early with a huge amount of money in the bank so that he could have more time to ‘read’ and ‘daydream’ as he put it.
In my case, I’ll have more time to read, seek knowledge, spend quality time with my family and also help enough people.
Second, success to me is being able to help as many people as possible. Putting smiles on people’s faces and solving their problems are success to me too.
Lastly, here’s the biggest, if I end my existence in Paradise and get saved from Hellfire, this is the ultimate success for me.
What’s next for you?
The next thing for me is to build more profit-generating businesses that I can put up for sale. Selling a profit generating-business is more lucrative than generating profit daily or monthly. Investors can buy a business for almost forty times the monthly income that business is generating. Doing this will help me to reach my goal of retirement at a younger age, like Zhang Timing and many other entrepreneurs, faster.
